The text is very readable, and it presumes no previous knowledge about automobiles or mechanics. Chapters on tools and basic electronics theory will appeal to beginners, while their subsequent chapters build on this knowledge and get quite in-depth.
The fact that the book does not focus on specific makes and models makes it all the more valuable.
